| Summary | The post-holder will generate and characterise a range of cellular models of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and fronto-temporal dementia (FTD) based on a newly discovered repeat expansion in the C9orf72 gene, in order to understand fundamental disease mechanisms. | ||
| Details | We are looking for a highly motivated, hard working scientist who can work independently but also interact creatively within the team. Experience in a wide range of molecular techniques, including mammalian cell culture and stem cell culture, as well as a passionate curiosity about Neuroscience is essential. Because of the short contract and importance of rapid productive output strong preference will be given to applicants with experience in the ALS and FTD research field, particularly those who have worked on the TDP-43 proteinopathies. Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant field | ||
| Salary | Salary will be £33,343 to £39,335 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance, depending on qualifications and experience. | ||
